Cecelia Amanda "CeCe" Jones[1] is one of the two lead female characters in the TV series, Shake It Up. She enjoys her time dancing in dance competitions, competing against others and having slumber parties. CeCe is very unpredictable and energetic, described as "a daring wild child who is uncontrollable, funky, and fun" on the school blog ("Wild It Up"). She also has dyslexia ("Add It Up").

Cece is an upbeat and uncontrollable girl, brutally honest, bright, and yet somewhat ditzy. She's street-smart rather than book-smart, unlike Rocky. Initially, she performs poorly in school partially because of dyslexia, but also in part because of her "trouble-making" behavior. However, she gradually improves academically as the series progresses. CeCe is fearless and outgoing and is constantly getting into trouble. Despite her initially failing her audition due to stage fright, she eventually earned a spot as a background dancer on Shake It Up, Chicago!. She also (unwillingly) dated Gunther in Hot Mess It Up because of some advice she gave Gunther and Tinka's cousin, but they soon broke up.

Rocky Blue is CeCe's best friend. While they both harbor a love of dancing, Rocky is a good student who isn't a troublemaker while CeCe is wild and usually has Rocky do her homework. (See:ReCe)

Deuce Martinez is one of CeCe and Rocky's close friends. He was the person to show CeCe and Rocky the flyer containing information on auditions for the dance show, "Shake It Up, Chicago". CeCe is constantly making fun of Deuce and interfering in his love life. In "Match It Up", Deuce thinks CeCe wants to be more than friends with him and after being "rejected" by Deuce, CeCe wonders what he doesn't like about her.(See: DeCe)
Ty BlueEdit

Ty and CeCe have a close relationship since Ty is Rocky's, CeCe's best friend, brother. They have several things in common such as a love for dancing. In "Model It Up", Ty and CeCe hugged (with Deuce and Flynn also) when they thought Rocky was leaving. In "Show It Up", CeCe grabs Ty's leg when she's begging for him to help her and Rocky in the talent show. CeCe, along with Rocky, takes Ty and Deuce to the Olivie Pit in "Meatball It Up". (See: Cy)
Flynn JonesEdit

Flynn is CeCe's younger brother, who often annoys her. She often has to babysit him when their mother leaves. Almost every morning Flynn yells at CeCe to make him bacon, but CeCe and Rocky give him 1 Minute Breakfast. Whenever CeCe and Rocky go somewhere he turns into a super-cowboy in his underwear with a water gun. ("Kick It Up").

Gunther is a "frenemy" of CeCe and Rocky, fraternal twin to Tinka Hessenheffer and former date of CeCe's, although they never truly were boyfriend and girlfriend. Gunther and Tinka are also on Shake It Up! Chicagoalongside Cece and Rocky. Gunther and Cece often don't get along, but Rocky forced CeCe to go to the dance with Gunther when they thought that he was about to move back to the "old country" due to an advice webcast gone wrong, thanks to Cece. At the end, Gunther dumps Cece even though they were never going out, because the person who was actually moving to the "old country" ended up to be one of Gunther and Tinka's cousins ("Hot Mess It Up"). Gunther mentored CeCe and Rocky in modeling in "Model It Up". In the episode, "Split It Up", Gunther and CeCe are selected to be guest dancers on "Good Morning, Chicago." (See: GeCe)

Tinka is a rival of CeCe and Rocky. She is also a dancer on Shake It Up! Chicago. Cece doesn't hang out with Tinka unless she is very desperate for someone to hang out with ("Kick It Up"). Tinka says that they are frenemies. In Break It Up, the two seemed to be friendly with each other and sat together a lot. Tinka and CeCe both hate losing to their brothers. It may be that they will be friends later on.
